Dr. Roger W. Jones completed his Ob-Gyn residency at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 1976 , and moved to Williamsburg to establish Williamsburg Ob-Gyn. He is a native of Seymour, Indiana and was an Arthur R. Metz scholar at Indiana University and graduated with honors from the Indiana University School of Medicine.
In his long career, Dr. Jones, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Board Certified, has delivered thousands of babies while caring for women of all ages. He served the Williamsburg Community Hospital as Chief of Staff and chaired numerous hospital committees at Sentara Williamsburg.
He is a member of the Pelham choir at Bruton Parish Church and enjoys yard work, golf, camping and travel. He is married to Marty, his college sweetheart, and they are the parents of Emily, Patrick and Nathan. They are blessed with two wonderful grandsons, Andrew and Alex Chaikin and a goldendoodle named Bridget.
Dr. Daniel G. Jenkins was born and raised in Ligonier, Pennsylvania. He graduated from the College of Wm and Mary in 1968 and the Medical College of Virginia in 1972. He completed an internal medicine internship at MCV before beginning his OB-GYN residency training at the University of North Carolina where he first met Dr. Jones. Dr. Jones and Jenkins have been practicing together since July 1977. Dr. Jenkins is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians-Gynecologists.
He is married to his college sweetheart, Cyndy, and they have two sons Todd and Jonathan and two grandchildren. They enjoy time at the beach and have loved many dachshunds over the years.
Dr. Benjamin T. Isbell grew up in Durham, NC. He attended Duke University graduating in 1993 with an A.B. in History and Political Science. After college, he attended Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, earning his J.D. degree in 1996. During his tenure at Washington University, he served on the school’s Law Review. After passing the North Carolina Bar Exam, he realized that a legal career was not for him. He entered the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and graduated in 2005. He completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Virginia in 2009. During his final year at UVA, he served as Administrative Chief Resident for the program.
Dr. Isbell is the newest addition to the Williamsburg Obstetrics and Gynecology family having joined the practice in July 2009. He and his wife Julie, their daughter Sarah, a son Andy, two dogs and three cats are thrilled to be in Williamsburg.
Dr. Emily Roberson is a Virginia native, born and raised in Norfolk, VA. She did live out of state briefly, to attend The University of the South, in Sewanee, TN, for her BS in Mathematics. However, she was glad to return to the Commonwealth to receive her MD degree and complete her Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Hampton Roads (EVMS, Norfolk, VA).
Dr. Roberson is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and enjoys the broad spectrum of clinical and surgical issues facing Obstetricians and Gynecologists when caring for woman of all ages. She and her husband, Steve, have lived in the greater Williamsburg area for 15 years and have 2 daughters. Outside of work, she and her daughters spend much of their free time riding and caring for the family’s horses.
Dr. Pearce joined the practice with Dr. Jones and Jenkins in 1990. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and graduated as an accounting major and became a CPA. Then Dr. Pearce went to UNC Medical School and completed his OB-Gyn residency training at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has served on several committees at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Pearce and his wife Sue have two children, Emily and Thomas. He is an avid reader and enjoys golf and skiing.
Dr. Swati Adawadkar joined the practice in August of 2011 after completing medical school and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Virginia. She received her B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Virginia as well as a minor in religious studies.
Dr. Adawadkar enjoys the full realm of Ob-Gyn from caring for pregnant patients to providing primary and preventative care to patients of all ages. She especially enjoys diagnosing and treating patients with infertility issues.
She has really enjoyed getting to know the Williamsburg area along with her husband Satish. They recently welcomed a baby boy who is the light of their lives. They also enjoy their dog Ted, a chihuahua mix who they adopted from the SPCA.
Dr. Kristy A. Keller grew up all across the United States. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and French. A brief career in systems engineering followed, then she obtained her MD Degree from the University of Michigan in 2002. Her passion for Women’s Health emerged during pregnancy in medical school and she feels privileged to care for women in all stages of life.
She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Virginia in 2006 and has worked in Williamsburg ever since. She is Board certified and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She joined Williamsburg Obstetrics and Gynecology in August of 2011.
Dr. Keller loves time spent with her husband Bob and their children Michael and Kate. She also loves to read, bike and travel.
“It wasn’t too long after my daughter was born at a small hospital in Jackson Hole, Wyoming in 1980 that I realized my calling in life was women’s health and not the great outdoors. I remember how fascinated and in awe I was with everything surrounding pregnancy, labor, delivery and newborns. And, I still am to this day! Plus, I have added gynecology to that list.”
For many years, Karen served as Nursing Director for the Obstetrical Unit at Williamsburg Community Hospital. Karen has a special interest in adolescents, the peri-menopausal and menopausal time frames in a woman’s life.
In addition to working at Williamsburg Obstetrics and Gynecology she also has hospital privileges at a local adolescent psychiatric in-patient care facility called Newport News Behavioral Health. She is the Nurse Practitioner on staff who provides comprehensive physical care for teenagers every Tuesday afternoon and has been there since 2004.
“Besides my family, husband, children and grandchildren, my passions in life are laughter, traveling, exercising (spin class, swimming, walking, hiking, weight training) eating healthy, movies, reading, an occasional NASCAR race, the food network, discovery, animal planet and national geographic channels. I also make sure that I take time to savor the little things in life and frequently stop to smell the roses!”
